More than 400 aircraft used by drug trafficking organizations to transfer drugs have been disabled by Venezuelan authorities, said the Minister of Internal Relations, Justice and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón.

“Once we detect these aircraft, the planes that protect our sky take off and begin to issue appropriate warnings to anyone who violates our airspace. Whoever listens to them is taken to an airstrip, when they don't listen, we act,” Cabello explained during a press conference held this Monday.

Cabello also pointed out that our military and police forces have also destroyed a significant number of clandestine tracks, using all the means and instruments at hand for this purpose. In this regard, he stressed that on many occasions, due to the intricate terrain where these tracks are located, it is necessary to disable them using “pick and shovel” or throwing explosives from the air.

In the same way, he stressed that the explosives that have been confiscated in recent days from criminal and terrorist groups will begin to be used to destroy the logistical structures of drug traffickers.

He also pointed out that, as part of these actions against drug trafficking, boats, “narco submarines” and shipyards have also been destroyed.

“The defenders of drug traffickers, of DRUG GANGS, always come out. They crash into the reality of the actions of our Armed Forces, our police forces and our organized Popular Power,” he stressed.
