The director of the Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigations Corps (CICPC), Douglas Rico, said that Venezuela is one of the safest nations in Latin America.

Rico attributed this achievement to the Peace Quadrants and announced that the country's homicide mortality rate dropped to 4.1 people per 100,000 inhabitants in 2024.

“Within the framework of the Seven Transformations (7T) proposed by the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, for the years 2025-2030, it relates to the integrity we have in defense of the nation and the security of our fellow citizens. That's why the Peace Quadrants are important in reducing crime,” he said.

He also highlighted the progress made by all citizen security agencies, the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) and the People's Power in terms of protection.

Finally, he pointed out that in Venezuela the Bolivarian security model, based on civic-military-police coordination, is being consolidated.
