This coming
Thursday, October 10, the documentary “Vestiges of
Ancestral Knowledge” by the well-known film and TV director, producer and screenwriter,
Miguelángel Tisera, will be released, which shows archaeological findings that have never been
seen before, and also deals with important issues that have to do with our natural
resources, ancestral knowledge and even the requests of the original peoples.
“Vestiges are
traces, marks that have meaning... Throughout my travels through Venezuela,
a magical geography, these 'Vestiges of
Ancestral Knowledge' emerged when I came into contact, in my work as a
film director, with inhabitants of the various areas of the country that I traveled
doing commercials, films, documentaries and filming for television,” said Tisera.
He also
highlighted that the stories he collected inspired this story. “It's a meeting and
a dialogue between native inhabitants of the Amazon rainforest and scientists who
are developing surprising theories in the Los Roques archipelago about the
origin of the inhabitants of our America and, taking a little risk from my poetic
point of view, perhaps of humanity,” he said.
The documentary
was shot from Alto Orinoco to Cerro Autana and interviews were conducted in Puerto Ayacucho.
The Los Roques Archipelago was also visited, in Cayo
Craski, Dos Mosquies and Gran Roque; in addition to the Archaeological Studies Unit of the Simón Bolívar University.
“Vestiges of Ancestral Knowledge” will also be present at the third edition of the Cumbe San Agustín Film Festival, which will take place from October 21 to 26; it was also officially selected to compete in the VI International Heritage Film Festival (Portugal); for the International Ecological TV Festival “To save and preserve” (Russia); and the Lift-Global Network (United Kingdom).
