Republican Donald Trump was sworn in this Monday, January 20, as the 47th president of the United States (USA), after his victory in the elections last November for a second term as a tenant of the White House.

The inauguration ceremony was delayed due to some last-minute changes due to weather conditions, but after 12 noon (local time) Trump became the oldest person to take office as president, at 78, while James David Vance, 40, who was sworn in as 50th vice president, is the third youngest to hold office.

Trump is the second ruler to return to the White House after being defeated in seeking re-election, after Democrat Grover Cleveland, who held office for non-consecutive terms in the 19th century.
