The director of the Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigations Corps (CICPC), Douglas Rico, said that there has been a significant reduction in crime rates in the country.

During the broadcast of the radio program CICPC Al Día, Rico noted that “thanks to the implementation of the Great Peace Quadrants Mission, official figures reflect a decrease of 2,200 crimes and 44 fewer homicide victims compared to the same period in 2025.”

He also indicated that this is the result of the “popular, military and police fusion”. In addition, he addressed the importance of eradicating misogyny and recalled the validity of national laws that protect women, while calling on “all women victims of gender-based violence not to remain silent. We have a strong legal framework and security agencies are ready to act.”
