The website Drop Site News revealed that Google signed a $45 million contract with the office of Israel's Zionist Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, to amplify Israeli propaganda through its platforms, primarily YouTube.
He also details that by the end of June for a period of six months, he describes the campaign as “hasbara” (a term that designates official Israeli propaganda) and establishes Google as the main entity that supports Netanyahu's political messages.
The report indicated that the signing of the contract occurred after the announcement of the total siege of Gaza in March, when Israel blocked the entry of food, medicine and fuel. At the same time, military spokespersons acknowledged the launch of a “digital campaign to clarify that there is no hunger”.
The campaign includes the dissemination of videos on YouTube, such as one from the Israeli Foreign Ministry entitled “There is food in Gaza”, viewed by more than six million people.
It also includes collaborating with American influencers and spending millions on paid ads on platforms such as X (three million dollars) and Outbrain/Teads (2.1 million dollars).
