The duo André Mora and Jaime Machado achieved an unforgettable participation in the closing of the rowing of the Santo Domingo 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games, after winning the gold medal with a time of 6:44.67
The national duo led the race thanks to the impeccable synchrony and firm strokes that led them to command the decisive phase, leaving a run of 3:22.30 in the first thousand meters and finally a time of 6:44.67 to dedicate themselves to the race.
The podium was completed in second place by the Cuban pair of Reidy Cardona and Pedro González with 6:45.38 accompanied by Mexicans Hugo Reyes and Jordy Gutierrez in third place.
This gold medal is added to the gold medal won by the Olympic duo of César Amaris and José Guipe in the short rowing pair.
