The Unified Workers' Front (FUT) of Ecuador called for new mobilizations for the management of the economic matters of the Government of Daniel Noboa and against its management of the multidimensional crisis facing that nation.

The call was made through social networks and other spaces by the leader of the FUT, José Villavicencio, who said that the measure is “against policies that precarious the lives of workers. We demand respect for our rights and we demand real solutions for the people.”

The mobilization begins at 4:00 in the afternoon (local time) from the headquarters of the IESS Insurance Fund, in the center-north of Quito, and goes through central streets of the Ecuadorian capital until reaching Plaza de Santo Domingo, in the historic center, where the headquarters of the Executive Branch, the Carondelet Palace, is located.

Telesur has detailed that the Minister of the Interior, Mónica Palencia, widely questioned because of the lack of attention to insecurity, threatened to suppress this afternoon's mobilization.
