The former presidential candidate of the extreme right, Edmundo González Urrutia, recognized, through a statement released this Wednesday, the decision of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) that validates the electoral victory of President Nicolás Maduro on July 28.
In the above-mentioned text, González Urrutia states that “I have always been and will continue to be willing to recognize and abide by the decisions taken by the organs of justice within the framework of the Constitution, including the above-mentioned ruling of the Electoral Chamber, which although I do not share it, I accept it because it is a resolution of the highest court of the Republic”.
In the same way, in the letter signed by him, he assures that his plans do not include exercising formal or informal representation of any of the country's public authorities.
In this regard, he assured that during his stay in Spain he will be absolutely respectful of the institutions and interests of Venezuela.
“I record my commitment that my public activity outside of Venezuela will be limited (...) It will be absolutely respectful of the institutions and interests of Venezuela, and I will always appeal to peace, dialogue and national unity,” highlights the letter, of which there are two copies signed by González Urrutia.
