The Venezuelan actor, Eduardo González, received the award for Best Actor at the 11th edition of the Nashik International Film Festival in India, masterfully playing singer-songwriter Ali Primera in the film of the same name.

This piece directed by Daniel Yegres Richard and produced by Humana Cine, is a project of the Ministry of Popular Power for Culture, as part of the Great Mission Viva Venezuela, My Beloved Homeland.

González's performance was praised for the intensity of his emotions, his realism and his dedication to capturing the essence of the Cantor del Pueblo and touched the jury and the spectators, standing out among talented artists from different countries.

The audiovisual piece is intended to pay a heartfelt tribute to the leader of the Necessary Song Movement, who sought to give prominence to the voice of the people and empower them through his songs.

The Nashik International Short Film Festival serves as an event to connect with the community, with an annual participation of more than 500 people. It's an independent film celebration that focuses on short films, a category that unfortunately doesn't get the attention it deserves.
