Around 8,000 officials have been discharged, both for cases of corruption and for retirement processes, said the general commander of the Bolivarian National Police Force (CPNB), G/B Rubén Darío Santiago.

In this regard, he specified that “we have arrived and have started a process of cleansing all these officials. Every time an official commits an act of irregularity, we have been forceful. We immediately discharged them and they presented themselves to the Public Ministry.”
