Electrical maintenance plan benefits more than 1 million inhabitants in Guárico and Apure

With the objective of providing a reliable service, the National Electric Corporation (CORPOELEC) carried out major maintenance, equipment replacement and technological modernization in various substations in the states of Guárico and Apure.
These engineering and technical support actions guarantee service stability to 1 million 210 thousand 693 inhabitants of the plain region and optimize energy distribution, both in urban areas and in strategic production areas.
According to a press release, in the state of Guárico, specialized crews carried out major tasks at the San Gerónimo A and B substations, where new recorders and state-of-the-art protection systems were put into service for the 400 kV lines.
In addition, the replacement of components and equipment was carried out in the 115 kV Calabozo I, Altagracia and Cabrutta substations. These improvements have a direct impact on the quality of life of families in the municipalities of Francisco de Miranda, San Jerónimo de Guayabal, Esteros de Camaguán, José Tadeo Monagas, Ortiz and Juan José Rondón.
Similarly, in the Apure state, a profound reengineering was carried out at the San Fernando I and II, Achaguas, Gorrín and Los Silos substations, where the maneuvers focused on the commissioning of capacitor banks and autotransformers, modernization of cells, installation of parts and tests.
These tasks ensure the continuity of supply in the municipalities of San Fernando, Biruaca, Pedro Camejo, Achaguas, Muñoz and Rómulo Gallegos.
