Preventive maintenance was carried out at three strategic substations in the Valles del Tuy, Miranda state, whose work benefits more than 120,000 users in the Mirandina region and part of Greater Caracas.

The main focus of maintenance focused on the thermographic inspection of 765/230kV power equipment at the Guaicaipura de Charallave substations in the Cristóbal Rojas municipality, Santa Teresa III in the Independencia municipality and La Raiza in the Paz Castillo municipality (Santa Lucía), allowing for the timely detection and correction of possible faults.

CORPOELEC officials reported -in a gazetilla- that through the use of infrared cameras, specialized technicians identified possible anomalies, overheating points and loose connections, allowing them to carry out corrective maintenance in a timely manner.

Additionally, maintenance and testing work was carried out on the protection scheme of the Rio Chico II No. 2 line at 230 kV, crucial for powering the Barlovento shaft.
