96% of transactions in Venezuela are electronic, said Eliazar Colmenares, director of the National Chamber of Electronic Commerce.
During the Coffee in the Morning program, he noted that digital commerce continues to expand and that there are activities that are not reflected in GDP, such as the delivery sector, which mobilizes more than 250,000 motorized vehicles and exceeds 10 billion dollars a year.
He highlighted that mobile payments recorded more than 6,000 transactions per minute in 2025 and represent 42% of transactions. While 1.5% of the economic movement is carried out in cash through the public transport sector.
He assured that the Chamber maintains coordination with the State for the development of technological instruments and the formalization of economic activities.
“Between 3 and 3.5 million entrepreneurs operate in formal and semiformalized schemes; a digital kit with training and mentoring is being promoted for their full incorporation,” he said.
He highlighted that digitalization is advancing in all sectors, from QR code payments to cross-border transactions processed through mobile devices.
