The candidate for the Great Patriotic Pole Simón Bolívar, Elio Serrano, formalized before the National Electoral Council his registration as a candidate for the governor of the state of Miranda.

From a mass event in the vicinity of the electoral body in Miranda, Serrano highlighted his commitment to, working together with the people, to make the people of Miranda happy.

“We have set ourselves the goal of working with the people, so that what we do is consulted with the people,” he said, while indicating that he will deploy to the 458 communes of that entity to talk with their inhabitants.

He also stressed that in his administration, if re-elected, he will place special emphasis on the issue of citizen security to reduce the rates of violence and crime in the entity. “We are also committed to ensuring that the people of Miranda have quality public services,” he emphasized.

Meanwhile, the sectoral vice-president of Social and Territorial Socialism, Hector Rodríguez, accompanied the activity where he highlighted Serrano's “humility and technical and political capacity”, which qualifies him to be the highest authority in the Miranda state.

“We continue to face the difficulties and consequences of the blockade. However, we have overcome these difficulties because we have been together as a people,” he said while asking the Mirandinos to unite around Serrano's candidacy.

“He's a capable, humble, experienced man. I want to ask them to accompany him, to make the most beautiful campaign, to visit each family and tell him that Elio Serrano is a good, capable and hardworking man,” he emphasized.
