More than 380,000 men and women from the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) and the Public Security Agency (CSO) will be deployed across the country, starting this Wednesday, July 24, to guarantee peace and respect for the will of the People during the presidential elections next Sunday, said the president of the National Electoral Council (CNE), Elvis Amoroso.
During the deployment of Plan República, he assured that there are also a significant number of international observers in the country, who can attest that Venezuela has “the best electoral system in the world.”
In addition, Amoroso denounced the existence of a campaign, through the media and social networks, to discredit the work being done by the CNE to ensure transparency during the upcoming elections.
In this regard, he stressed that the aforementioned campaign is being financed with money stolen from Venezuela by the extreme right and the members of the imaginary government they created for this purpose and with funds from drug trafficking.
“To international observers, ambassadors, consuls, accredited in Venezuela, tell your people what you are seeing. You have been invited to see the clean process of the audits and compliance with the electoral schedule; call your people and tell them what the media are saying is a lie,” he stressed.
In the same way, he stressed that despite the attacks on the electoral body, the elections scheduled for this day will be held in the country on July 28.
