Embassy of Brazil in Caracas will attend to diplomatic issues in Argentina and Peru

The Minister of Popular Power for
Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, on behalf of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, announced the signing
of an agreement with the Federative Republic of
Brazil for the custody of the premises
of
the Argentine and Peruvian Diplomatic Missions,
including their assets and archives.
In addition, the head of
Diplomatic Relations of Venezuela indicated that the representation of
interests and their nationals (Argentina and Peru) in Venezuelan territory
will be represented as of August 5, 2024 by the Embassy of the Federative
Republic of Brazil in Caracas.
Below is the
full text of the statement:
Taking into account the
principles and purposes of cooperation and mutual respect that govern the
Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations of 1961 and the
Vienna Convention
on Consular Relations of 1963, the Government of the Bolivarian Republic of
Venezuela and the Government of the Federative Republic of Brazil, are pleased to
inform that they have reached this agreement so that the custody of the
premises of the Diplomatic Missions of the Argentine Republic and the
Republic of Peru, including their assets and archives, as well as the
representation of their interests and nationals in Venezuelan territory,
will be represented as of August 5, 2024 by the Embassy of the
Federative Republic of Brazil in Caracas, in accordance with the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic
Relations of 1961 and the Vienna Convention on
Consular Relations of 1963.
