The temporary camp installed at the National School of Performing Arts César Rengifo, in the Altagracia parish of Caracas, received a supply of appliances this Sunday to strengthen the care of families affected by the earthquakes of last June 24.

The delivery included refrigerators, freezers and cookers with ovens, equipment that will allow the inhabitants of the shelter to prepare and preserve their food during their stay there.

The day was led by the Minister of Popular Power for Culture, Raúl Cazal, together with the Deputy Minister of Audiovisual Culture, Miqueas “Piki” Figueroa, the director of the institution, Roy Lorenzo, and the general commissioner Saúl Briceño.

The authorities also inspected the adjustments made to the facilities, where in addition to temporary accommodation, medical care and other services aimed at families are provided.

In the spaces of the Vinicio Adames Cultural Training Center, which operates in the same building, training activities will be carried out for those affected. These include vegetarian cooking and pastry workshops, which seek to promote learning and coexistence during the families' stay in the camp.

With these actions, the authorities continue to adapt spaces enabled as temporary shelters to ensure better conditions of care, protection and well-being for people affected by the emergency
