Estudiantes de Mérida defeated Monagas SC 2-1 and managed to score their three points in the 2025 Apertura Tournament of the Venezuelan Football League (FUTVE League).
The first match of the third day of the Apertura Tournament took place at the Metropolitan Stadium in Mérida.
The red and white team won the victory thanks to the goals of Antonio Romero in the 48th minute and the Colombian Luis Miguel Mina in the 73".
With this victory, Estudiantes de Mérida are currently in the ninth place in the tournament standings with three points, while Monagas is in the thirteenth place with only one goal.
