The Council of Evangelical Methodist Churches of Latin America and the Caribbean (CIEMAL) rejected this Sunday the military aggression carried out by the United States (USA) against Venezuela on January 3, 2026.
Through a pastoral letter, religious leaders condemned armed intervention for violating national sovereignty and promoting “ideologies of death”, in addition to questioning the dictatorial positions that have undermined the dignity of the Venezuelan people.
Through the statement, they made an urgent call to replace violence with spaces for sincere dialogue and reconciliation, urging congregations to remain in prayer and help in the face of the uncertainty generated by this new scenario of conflict.
