Everything ready for the San Sebastián marathon in Táchira

Around a thousand athletes from Venezuela and Colombia will compete in the 56th edition of the San Sebastian International Half Marathon, which will take place on January 31 in the streets of San Cristóbal, Táchira state, starting at 5:00 p.m.
The event will start from the emblematic Plaza Bolívar with a prize pool that exceeds 17,000 euros. Interested athletes have a registration deadline of Thursday, January 29.
The Half Marathon will be held in the distances of 21K and 10K. Currently, the organization reports a total of 825 registered runners, whose limit will be one thousand. From the register of registrants, 584 runners are from Tachirense, while 153 come from 14 other Venezuelan states.
Among the international ones, there are 88 foreigners, with a majority presence in Norte de Santander, Colombia. Official confirmation from Kenyan and Ecuadorian athletes is expected to raise the competitive level.
