The
Executive Vice President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, confirmed
this Thursday her support for Venezuelan migrants kidnapped in El
Salvador, and stamped her signature to defend them in Plaza Bolívar in Caracas.
“Venezuelan migrants must return
immediately to their land, to their homeland. And that is the
cry of the Venezuelan people. The ones we are stamping our signature on are to
say, 'We support our migrants. We support the efforts
that President Nicolás Maduro is making for the return of our migrants',” he said.
He recalled that the Plan
Back to the Fatherland was not created yesterday, “it was created years ago, precisely because of the
spirit of President Maduro to return those Venezuelans, those
Venezuelans who crossed the border seeking better horizons because of the criminal
economic war, illegitimate called for by failed extremists in Venezuela, opponents who called for the blockade against
Venezuela, created these economic and social wounds in our Homeland
”.
In this regard,
Rodríguez pointed out that migration was induced, “at the request of these extremists,
who also provided the platforms and then said that
Venezuelan migrants should be considered criminals. The
words of Julio Borges still ring in my head when he called them scourges against Venezuelan migrants,” he criticized.
In addition, he repudiated
the statements of the extremist leader María Corina Machado, who
applauded the kidnapping of Venezuelans in a maximum-security prison in El Salvador.
“What they have done has no forgiveness from God or anyone, least of all
from the Venezuelan people,” said the Vice President.
“Someone has
to respond and justice must exist, justice must prevail,
legality must be rebuilt so that our boys return to Venezuela.
So with great happiness I have stamped my signature. We call on all
Venezuelans, all good Venezuelan women to come and join in one voice,” he urged.
