Executive Vice President: The working people have united to demand the release of the Maikelys girl

The Executive Vice President, Delcy Rodríguez, accompanied the great mobilization in commemoration of International Workers' Day and for the freedom of the girl Maikelys Espinoza Bernal, who is kidnapped in the United States.

Rodríguez highlighted that the working class people have united to demand the release of the 2-year-old girl, Maikelys Espinoza, who was taken away from her parents by the United States Government.

He also emphasized that the Bolivarian Government honors all the workers of the Homeland, who with effort and dedication have propelled Venezuela in the face of criminal blockades and economic wars. “The Venezuelan working class has demonstrated its capacity for resistance,” he said.

The Executive Vice President recalled that President Nicolás Maduro made announcements in favor of workers, brought the comprehensive minimum income to the equivalent of 160 dollars and pensions to the equivalent of 50 dollars.

In this regard, he highlighted that according to a report published by the Central Bank of Venezuela during the first quarter of 2025, there was economic growth of 9.32%.

Regarding his recent visit to China, Rodríguez noted that the work agenda was aimed at energy, finance, agriculture, artificial intelligence, foreign trade, science and technology.

“We are extremely satisfied, Venezuela and China are strengthening more cooperation ties,” he added.
