The Carlos Cruz-Diez Print and Design Museum (MEDI) inaugurated last Saturday, October 25, the exhibition “Venezuela, your view”, which this time, is presented as part of the activities of the “VI Biennial of the South: Peoples in Resistance”.

This traveling exhibition aims to make visible the diversity and dynamism of Venezuelan documentary photography, inviting us to undertake a sensitive journey through an “imaginary map” that tells stories and reveals the beauty of Venezuela.

The president of the National Museums Foundation (FMN), Mary Pemjean, praised the work of the 48 photographers who make up the exhibition, stressing that “they are a fundamental part of the construction of the country. They are synonymous with the fact that the contribution is made is in Venezuela (...). This VI Southern Biennial is becoming a competitive space compared to other Biennials. With this initiative, we seek to make art a human humanity”.

For his part, Leoner González, general director of MEDI, described the artistic exhibition as “impeccable” and asserted that the photographs “dialogue with the representative importance of the Carlos Cruz-Diez Museum”.

In addition, he highlighted alliances to “materialize the dissemination of artists' works”.

For this reason, the MEDI board invited the entire community to be an active part of this exhibition, which contains shots that highlight the kindness of the four cardinal points of the country, leaving physical proof of the legacy and cultural characteristics of Venezuela, as a reminder of the South American nation.
