Expoferia Agropecuaria de Mauroa in Falcón will exhibit more than 500 cattle, sheep and goats

To open the cycle of fairs in the state of Falcón, the 37th Mauroa Agricultural, Industrial, Artisanal, Sports and Tourism Exhibition began in the west of the state, with the participation of more than 500 cattle, sheep and goats.
At the opening of the fair, the governor of the entity, Víctor Clark, accompanied by Mayor Romer Viand the Secretary of Agricultural Development, Pablo Acosta, expressed his joy at seeing the potential that the entire Falconian territory has, not only in meat, but also in dairy products and their derivatives.
The best livestock show, which will run until Sunday, February 22, is attended by producers from five states: Zulia, Barinas, Lara, Trujillo and the host Falcón, who are exhibiting the best of genetic and productive quality in the region at the Don Dámaso Rodríguez Fair Complex.
“At Mauroa, we have a livestock tradition that speaks of that vocation, production and contribution to food security, development and sovereignty of the country. This initiative marks the route and, at the same time, the call that we will carry out month by month in each of the municipalities,” he said.
He added that the objective is to present the best exhibitions and production in the region, as well as to give the people moments of distraction and family recreation.
For his part, the president of the Regional Federation of Cattle Farmers, José Vicente Ferrer, reported that a total of 38 cattle producers from the municipalities of Mauora (Mene Mauroa), Democracia (Pedregal), Buchivacoa (Capatárida), Urumaco (Urumaco) and Dabajuro will be exhibiting the product of the crosses and genetic improvement.
“We have participants of the Brahman red, white, Carora and Gyr breeds, among others, as a product of the crosses; in addition, the traditional judgments will be held, both for cattle and sheep and goats, plus competitions for dairy products,” he said.
Ferrer thanked the governor, the Secretary of Agricultural Development and the mayor Romer Vifor their support, as they are fairs that are resuming after three years of layoff.
The president of the Federation of Cattle Farmers of the Lake Basin in the state of Zulia, Onesimo Prado, stated that “seeing this union united, bringing animals of excellent quality, is very comforting, because we know that we are giving the best food to the nation”.
He congratulated his colleagues from Falcón “for the genetic work they have been carrying out. It's a sample of livestock, of technology, of finished products.”
