As part of the National Day of the Plastic Artist, the fourth edition of the pictorial exhibition of the Expressionarte Foundation was inaugurated at the “Maturín Corazón de Oriente” Art Gallery, dedicated this time to the cultor Romer Botini, recently recognized as the Living Cultural Heritage of the Monagas state.

The founder of the Expressionarte project, Sandra Raygado, explained that this initiative seeks to promote local artistic talent and offer exhibition spaces for young creators from the Maturín municipality. At the same time, he specified that the exhibition includes works selected by a professional jury and has the support of the Casa de Cultura Inícita Aceituno, a note published by Venezolana de Televisión.

“ Because we have these spaces, we can provide students with a platform. The idea is that each creation is exposed to the life of the population that enjoys art,” said Raygado during the inauguration.

He also highlighted that each edition pays homage to emblematic figures of Monaguense culture, as part of a strategy to promote values such as discipline, perseverance and artistic research among new generations.

Raygado recalled that in previous years Juvenal Ravelo, Gualberto Ibarreto and the teacher José Fornes were honored, while this edition recognized Romer Botini's career and cultural contribution within the Monagas state.

The exhibition will remain open to the public as a space for the encounter with the plastic arts and the strengthening of Eastern cultural identity.
