From Coro, in Falcón state, the candidate of the revolutionary forces, Nicolás Maduro, stated that Venezuela's peace depends on victory in the presidential elections on July 28.

“We are living love in action, we are the guarantee of peace in this country, we are the historic people of Bolivar and Chávez,” said the Bolivarian leader during a massive rally in support of his candidacy.

In this regard, he stressed the importance of “the struggle we have fought, the fight we are fighting”, so that “peace or war, stability and tranquility or the total destabilization of this beautiful country depend on July 28”.

He emphasized that “July 28 depends on whether we are going to be an independent republic or become a gringo colony, if they turn us into vassals and slaves of the racist and exclusive Caracas oligarchy of surnames, or we continue to be a free, energetic people, with their own culture, with their own way of expressing themselves (...) On July 28, the future of the next 50 years of Venezuela is decided.”
