As part of Operation Bolivarian Shield Independence 200 in reconnaissance and border patrol missions, in the vicinity of the sector called Buena Vista del Meta, Pedro Camejo municipality in the state of Apure, a Rapid Reaction Unit (URRA) spotted a hidden twin-engine aircraft from the air.

The information was released by Domingo Hernández Lárez, Strategic Operational Commander of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), through his social media channel, who indicated that the aircraft was found under a gallery forest next to an embankment used as an improvised clandestine runway.

Hernández Lárez explained that this green aircraft had no visible serials and, according to the region's information control record, it did not present a permit or flight plan to travel through the national territory, so it was declared hostile and was destroyed.

“With this inoperability, Venezuela has registered a cumulative of 422 aircraft that have been disabled since the enactment of the Law of Control for the Integral Defense of Venezuelan Airspace since 2012, in the protection of national sovereignty, in addition to the number of 31 aircraft during the year 2025,” said Hernández Lárez, CEOFANB Press reports.

The Strategic Commander emphasized that the FANB fights daily and furiously throughout the national territory against the scourge of drugs and drug trafficking.

“We are not, nor will we be a platform for transnational TANCOL groups that stubbornly intend to try to use our homeland to transfer their products, narcotic drugs and psychotropic drugs, genocidal of death and destruction. Venezuela, a territory of the right to justice where peace reigns,” he said.
