FANB distributes 54 tons of food to indigenous sectors in Apure

Members of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) distributed more than 54 tons of basic food to 98 indigenous communities that are difficult to access by land and river in the state of Apure, said the governor of that entity, Wilmer Rodríguez.

In statements collected by the Venezuelan News Agency (AVN), Rodríguez explained that during the deployment, 672 power modules were distributed to 17 communities of the original Pumé people of the Cinaruco Axis.

He noted that the products were moved across an aeronautical bridge from the San Fernando Air Base with a Cougar helicopter of the Bolivarian Army.

The state authority emphasized that the work took place in coordination between the FANB, the National Executive, the ministries of Indigenous Peoples and Food, the Los Ándes dairy company, the Single Indigenous Authority, the government and the Mayor's Office of Rómulo Gallegos.
