FANB will guarantee suffrage as an inalienable political right of Venezuelans

The Strategic Operational Commander of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), Domingo Hernández Lárez, stated that military personnel will guarantee the transfer and protection of all electoral material and instruments, both technological and non-technological, to be used in the Presidential Elections on July 28.

“We can properly express that we are ready and willing to comply with the law and we will guarantee suffrage as an inalienable political right of Venezuelans to decide the destiny of the Homeland,” he said.

They will also ensure the security of the infrastructure and strategic support platform. “They are prepared to guarantee the internal order of the Homeland and Military Defense throughout the national geographical space,” he said, from Paseo Los Proceres during his speech at the event of Activation of the Plan República.

Hernández Lárez argued that under the planning, direction, supervision and control of the Strategic Operational Command as the highest integrating body to carry out a joint and unified security and custody operation with the employment of 388,107 members of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces and the different organs of Citizen Security.

“We will act at all times in accordance with the laws, ensuring constitutional guarantees and rights, human rights, public order, peace and the peace and quiet of Venezuelan homes and families,” he said.

He confirmed that the troops received more than 300 hours of instruction on acting in electoral processes, electoral crimes, and human rights.
