The mayor of the Guaicaipura municipality, in Miranda state, Farith Fraija, specified that in its administration, the mayor's office, through the 1×10 System of Good Governance, has resolved more than 26,000 cases that have been reported.
During his participation in the program A Pulso, which broadcasts Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), Fraija provided an assessment of social care and the National Public Health System (SPNS) in the city council and noted that the entire hospital network has improved thanks to the joint work of the National, regional and local Government.
He explained that one of the essential issues that are resolved by the mayor's office through 1×10 is that of social care.
In that context, he emphasized that this mechanism opened the eyes of the local administration, allowing a direct and efficient view of the needs of the community.
“We must be in all seven parishes, in all 453 communities and working from the community, for and with the community. We have been undertaking this dynamic for a long time and we have formed new strategies to strengthen collective planning,” he said.
He reported that, today, 27 outpatient clinics operate, of which nine of them operate 24 hours a day, providing supplies, equipment and trained medical personnel for the benefit of the people.
“Every time we bring supplies to the outpatient clinics, the head of the community and the self-government room are there checking what was received and how those resources are managed; in other words, it has been a formidable and effective strategy,” he said.
On the other hand, Fraija welcomed the advances made in terms of citizen security in the Guaicaipura municipality, noting that the municipality currently records seven homicides per year, in contrast to 2013, when it closed with 138 homicides respectively.
“The reality is totally different since the Bolivarian Revolution returned to the Guaicaipura municipality of Miranda state, and it's something very important that we must mention,” he said.
He said that this contrast evidences the importance of continuity in security policies and institutional strengthening, as well as the commitment of the Bolivarian Revolution to guarantee solid police forces, capable of protecting the life and tranquility of the Mirandino people.
