Farmers in Spain rebel against the EU-MERCOSUR agreement

Farmers in Spain joined the European protests against the free trade agreement between the European Union and the Common Market of the South (MERCOSUR), which is scheduled to be signed this Saturday.

This is a so-called “fire show”, which takes place in front of the Government headquarters in Cantabria and which has been broadcast in videos by different media.

The images show a crowd surrounding a large pile of burning hay, converted into a symbol of the field's rejection of a pact that they consider harmful to European producers
