Feature film “Ali Primera” received an award in Tunisia for sound and cultural strength

Venezuelan cinema marks a new milestone in its international film projection with the recognition given to the feature film “Ali Primera”, directed by Daniel Yegres, during the International Children's and Youth Film Festival (FIFEJ) 2026, held in the city of Susa, Republic of Tunisia.

The work was awarded the Special Mention of the Jury for Best Original Score, highlighting the musical richness that accompanies this cinematic story dedicated to the life of the Cantor del Pueblo, Ali Primera, an essential figure in the song needed in Venezuela and Latin America.

This production, developed by Humana Cine in the context of the Great Living Venezuela Mission, Mi Patria Querid a, stands as an audiovisual testimony that covers the artistic sensibility, social conscience and political and cultural legacy of the iconic Venezuelan singer-songwriter.

With this new recognition on the African continent, Venezuela reaffirms its presence in the international audiovisual scene, evidencing the universal reach of its history and the validity of its cultural references.
