This Thursday, April 4
, the United States Congress announced a veto for sending money to Venezuela “if they do not allow the opposition to participate in elections” and although it seems to be a measure of pressure to fulfill the whims of María Corina
Machado, it is really just another fight between the sectors of the right, since
those who receive money from the gringos for electoral events in the country are the Organizations No
Governmental (NGO).
Behind the
operation, for the prohibition of sending funds, is a lady named Patricia
Andrade, who owns the NGO Venezuela Awarenes, an organization
closely linked to opponents Juan Guaidó, Leopoldo López, Carlos Vecchio and
David Samolansky, since through it they profited during “the interim period” with the migration business.
Andrade was the face that lobbied on
different occasions between “the interim” and the US government; and now she is
the one who comes out to promote this law on the assumption that “our taxes are
not going to go to the hands of the Maduro dictatorship or the false opposition”, to
pave the way for an anti-electoral route.
It is important to note that the $50 million
that would be blocked would actually be allocated to the NGOs in charge of the
campaign to promote the opposition vote in Venezuela ahead of the elections
of July 28.
This shows that the Venezuelan extreme right has never had the purpose of framing itself in the electoral path, on the contrary, it seeks to boycott that path to justify the reissue of violence in the country and try to satisfy its interests.
