The Venezuelan International
Book Fair (FILVEN) will arrive this Wednesday, January 28, in the
Portuguese state with more than 8,000 texts, exhibitions, text presentations and
other activities that will take place over two days.
The director of the Ministry
of Culture in the entity, Rubén Uzcátegui, announced that the literary festival
will open at the Vice-Rector's Office of the National Experimental University of the
Llanos Ezequiel Zamora (UNELLEZ) and will also take over the facilities of the Sala
Bajareque Casa de Arte and the Inés Mercedes Gómez Álvarez Museum, according to a note from the Venezuelan News Agency.
He reported that under the slogan Reading humanizes, the 21st edition of FILVEN will include the participation of four national publishers and one regional one; it will also pay tribute to the writers Francisco Merlo and Hernán José Bou Haddour.
Uzcátegui stressed that during FILVEN the literary work of two creators who live in the upper area will be honored in Portuguese, a demonstration that “in every point of our state there is a writer and a poet writing”.
