First advance of the Venezuelan delegation participating in the Central American Games arrived in Venezuela

The Libertador de Maracay Airport was the scene of the official reception of the first advance of the Venezuelan delegation that participated in the 25th Central American and Caribbean Games, held in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

The welcome was led by the Deputy Minister of Sports Massification, Juan Carlos Amarante, who received 66 athletes from the first returning group, accompanied by coaches, delegates and judges, for a total of 90 members of the national delegation.

‎Entre The athletes who arrived in the country stood out the judoka Karen León and the taekwondo player Luis Álvarez, standard-bearers and gold medalists, together with representatives of ten sports disciplines: open water, chess, judo, taekwondo, rugby 7, golf, rhythmic gymnastics, trampoline gymnastics, badminton and archery.

During the welcome ceremony, Deputy Minister Amarante expressed his recognition of the efforts and commitment of the entire Venezuelan representation.

‎ “I want to congratulate the entire Venezuelan delegation: our athletes, the technical team and the entire multidisciplinary team that has been doing an extraordinary job. We have eight multi-medal athletes and our representatives continue to give their all in each of the competitive stages in the Dominican Republic,” he said.

The reception of this first advance reflects an entire country's recognition of the effort, discipline and talent of its athletes.
