First Grand Mariscal de Ayacucho Film Festival will be held in December

The First Grand Marshal of Ayacucho Film Festival will take place from December 5 to 7 as part of the celebration of the 257th anniversary of the founding of Güiria in the state of Sucre, in which 30 short films will be selected for the meeting.
This was announced at the press conference chaired by producer Luis Moisés Ramos, Ivenny Marcano, executive director of Amazonia Films, and the deputy to the National Assembly, Ali Alejandro Primera.
They also reported that more than 140 short films were submitted for evaluation by the jury, which will be made up of Luis Carlos Hueck, Joanna Nelson, Alejandro Picó and Jonathan Chan. The evaluation of the films will be carried out in different categories: fiction, animation, documentary and student.
The activity is supported by the National Autonomous Cinematography Center (CNAC), Amazonia Films, PDVSA Gas and the Mayor's Office of Valdez.
It is important to note that the honoree this time will be the first Venezuelan actor Antonio Machuca, known in the artistic world as El Negro Machuca, who was honored for his work in 2018 by the Ministry of Popular Power for Culture.
