Foreign Minister Félix Plasencia arrived in the Dominican Republic for ECLAC session

On behalf of President Delcy Rodríguez, the Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Félix Plasencia González, arrived this Tuesday in the city of Santiago de los Caballeros, in the Dominican Republic, where he will participate from October 7 to 9 in the 41st Session of the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC).

After his arrival in the Caribbean country, the foreign minister shared on his Instagram account: “Venezuela is present in this space of dialogue and exchange in favor of transformations, regional integration and the integral development of Latin America and the Caribbean”.

During the working sessions, the program foresees the presentation of two reports prepared by ECLAC, which address aspects related to geopolitics, globalization and development for Latin America and the Caribbean.

ECLAC is one of the five regional commissions derived from the UN Social Economic Council (ECOSOC) and its mission is to carry out research and studies on the economic, social, environmental and technical challenges of Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as on growth and development trends in the countries of the region, promoting economic and social development, through cooperation and regional integration.
