The Minister of Popular Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, celebrated this Thursday one more year of the “solid relations of friendship and solidarity” between Venezuela and Russia, “two nations united in the defense of sovereignty, mutually beneficial cooperation and the fight for a more equitable, multipolar and just world”.

Through his account on the social network X, the Venezuelan Foreign Minister recalled that, although relations were established in 1945, it was our “Commander Hugo Chávez, together with President Vladimir Putin, who built an authentic friendship and political, economic and cultural alliance between our peoples”.

He stressed that strategic cooperation between the two nations “has reached exceptional levels in areas such as energy, food, tourism, science and technology, commerce, pharmaceuticals, military, culture and sports.”

He stressed that currently Caracas and Moscow “remain united and firm voices against Western imperialism and the imposition of unjust unilateral coercive measures, which represent a violation of international legality and the human rights of peoples.” With Russia leading the BRICS, we are confident that we will continue to advance together in decades of friendship and that we will contribute to the transformation of world politics and economy,” he said.
