The Minister of Popular Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, denounced this Monday a series of attacks carried out over the weekend against several Venezuelan diplomatic offices around the world, following the swearing in of President Nicolás Maduro for the period 2025-2031.

Through his Telegram channel, the Venezuelan Foreign Minister pointed out that “in a coordinated action by the commandos of deranged fascism, several headquarters of our consulates have been attacked by extremists who do the same damage to our diplomatic headquarters that they want to do to our beloved Bolivarian Homeland.”

In this regard, he asked “the authorities of Lisbon (Portugal), Frankfurt (Germany), Medellín (Colombia), Vigo (Spain) and San José (Costa Rica)... to speed up investigations to find those responsible and to guarantee the integrity of our facilities as established by the Vienna Convention”.

“Fascist hatred inoculated, stimulated and protected for years abroad is the main cause of these aggressions,” Gil added in the publication, where he shared images of the damage.
