This Thursday, February 12, the Foreign Minister of the Republic, Yván Gil, reported that he held a meeting with the Apostolic Nuncio to Venezuela, Monsignor Alberto Ortega Martín, to discuss the construction of democratic coexistence and the protection of peace in the country.

On his account on the social network Telegram, Gil said: “We are pleased to have received the Apostolic Nuncio to Venezuela, Monsignor Alberto Ortega Martín, to discuss the construction of democratic coexistence and the protection of peace in our country.”

“At this meeting, we emphasize the importance of promoting dialogue and reconciliation, principles that have always been priorities for the Bolivarian Government,” he stressed.

He stressed that “we also reiterate the defense of the sovereignty of peoples and respect for international law as the only ways to a world where peace and justice prevail.”
