The Foreign Minister of the Republic, Yván Gil, rejected the justification for the military invasion and bombing against Venezuela, by the Greek government, which supports the fascist arguments of the United States to assassinate, invade and flagrantly violate international law.

“It is worrying that the current Prime Minister of Greece does not seem to have learned from recent European history. Nazism used exactly the same arguments that are being used today against Venezuela: that the rejection of a government and its ideology can serve as a justification for the blatant assassination, invasion and violation of international law. This reasoning not only contradicts the Charter of the United Nations and the international human rights system, but it revives the darkest logic that Europe swore not to repeat,” Gil said.

The Venezuelan government recommended that the Greek Prime Minister refrain from commenting on our country and, instead, recommended deepening his study of international law and the historical lessons that gave rise to the current global legal order.
