Foreign Minister Gil: Venezuela and Türkiye defend a world based on the UN Charter

‎El Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, participated in the reception commemorating the 102nd anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Türkiye, held this Wednesday in Caracas.

‎Durante his speech, the foreign minister highlighted the ties of brotherhood, solidarity and cooperation that unite Caracas and Ankara, which range from the cultural and scientific-technological to the social and political.

‎Aseguró that Venezuela and Türkiye are two geographically distant countries, but that in “essence, we are the same; two nations and two governments that defend a world based on the Charter of the United Nations, on the principles of solidarity, sovereignty, self-determination and equality”.

‎Además, thanked the Turkish Government and people for their solidarity with Venezuela in condemning the threats of the US Government.

‎Por on his part, the Turkish ambassador accredited to Venezuela, Naci Aydan Karamanoğlu, confirmed his solidarity with the Bolivarian nation and assured that “Türkiye rejects the imposition of unilateral coercive measures. Likewise, we believe that any attempt at invasion will cause instability in international relations.”

‎La activity was accompanied by the Minister of Popular Power for Culture, Ernesto Villegas; the governor of the state of La Guaira, José Alejandro Terán; the Ombudsman, Alfredo Ruiz, and the deputy Nicolás Maduro Guerra, among other authorities.
