Foreign Minister Yván Gil meets with Türkiye's ambassador on his way to the 4th Joint Commission

The Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, met this Tuesday with the Turkish ambassador in Caracas, Naci Aydan Karamanoglu, for the celebration of the IV High-Level Joint Commission between the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the Republic of Türkiye, which will be held from May 21 to 22.

“We have spoken extensively with the Turkish ambassador in Venezuela @AydanKaramanolu on bilateral and multilateral issues framed in the shared vision of our countries for a world of cooperation based on mutual respect and solidarity,” said the Venezuelan diplomat through his account on the social network X.

Last February, Foreign Minister Gil, together with his Turkish counterpart, Hakan Fidan, reviewed the cooperation agenda being developed by Caracas and Ankara, as part of the Turkish diplomat's official visit to Venezuela.

Meanwhile, this Monday, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, signed the Law Agreement on the Promotion and Reciprocal Protection of Investments between Venezuela and Türkiye, an economic legal instrument that elevates trade relations between the two nations to a higher level.

During the 45th broadcast of his program Con Maduro+, the head of state greeted “the people of Türkiye, an emerging country, economically, scientifically and technologically powerful, with a centuries-old history of custom of struggle”, highlighting the love of his people for the struggle of the Venezuelan people.

The agreement, signed by the foreign ministers of both nations last July and which has now become law, aims to establish, maintain and consolidate a legal framework that facilitates and promotes direct investment, with the purpose of promoting the harmonious, productive and sustainable development of the two States.

The relationship between Ankara and Caracas is based on respect, cooperation and solidarity; manifested through the support that the Turkish nation has provided by serving as a bridge that allows us to evade illegitimate and illegal ones and the economic blockade.
