The Foreign Minister of the Republic, Yván Gil, stressed that Venezuela is a people that resists, that builds its economy and its production.

“The work, the effort, the intellect of the majority of Venezuelans is on the street today demonstrating,” he emphasized during the big march of International Workers' Day.

He stressed that despite unilateral and coercive sanctions, the majority of Venezuelans remain firm in the defense of national sovereignty.

“The people are on the street, expressing their support for the Bolivarian Revolution, demonstrating the will for transformation that has been built for more than 25 years, thanks to Commander Hugo Chávez, thanks to the workers' president, Nicolás Maduro Moros,” he said.

Gil took the opportunity to demand the safe return of his compatriots.

“We demand the return of our boys and girls who have been kidnapped in the United States, in concentration camps in El Salvador. But in addition, this is a people that goes out to tell the world that it is with effort, with work, with creation, building socialism, building well-being”, he stressed.
