The Popular Minister for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil Pinto, reported, through his Telegram channel, that he had a telephone conversation with his Spanish counterpart, José Manuel Albares, to whom he reiterated that Venezuela will defend its sovereignty.

Gil explained that “Venezuela will not tolerate an escalation in aggressions and interference from Spain”, a country he described as a “refuge for terrorists and criminals linked to fascism in our country”.

He also warned that ignorance of Venezuelan institutions is “a red line, a Guaidó 2.0 will fail again. Our country is ready to take actions that protect its sovereignty.”

He also noted that recently the State security forces unveiled a terrorist plan, “which sought to attack the people, assassinate the President, Vice President and other officials”, in which Spanish citizens who “have links with the Spanish National Intelligence Center” are committed.
