Foreign ministers of Iran and Russia hold bilateral meeting in Tehran

This Tuesday, the Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation, Sergey Lavrov, held a meeting with his counterpart from the Islamic Republic of Iran, Seyyed Abbas Araqchi, during his official visit to Tehran.
Both sides will discuss the bilateral agenda of the relations of both nations that have officially reached the level of comprehensive strategic partnership.
According to detailed information in the press, one of the main topics of the exchange will be economic cooperation, since the commercial flow between Tehran and Moscow has stalled.
In this regard, both nations plan to conclude new agreements, where one of the main plans of the parties is to organize the export of Russian gas to Iran.
“During the negotiations, special emphasis is expected to be placed on continuing to expand mutually beneficial trade and economic cooperation in the context of the implementation of key joint projects in the areas of energy and transport,” the Russian Foreign Ministry added.
