Foreign ministers of Venezuela and Colombia meet in New York to strengthen binational brotherhood

The Foreign Minister of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Yván
Gil, met this Monday in New York with his Colombian counterpart Luis
Gilberto Murillo, within the framework of the 79th session of the
General Assembly of the United Nations (UN), with the objective of strengthening the ties of brotherhood between the two countries.
“It was a real pleasure to talk with the Foreign Minister of
Colombia, Luis Murillo, with whom we maintain constant communication channels
that allow us to advance in the brotherhood between our peoples and in the joint
development of our nations, always based on
mutual respect,” said the Venezuelan diplomat on his Telegram channel.
During the meeting, the foreign ministers reinforced the
intention of their governments to work together to consolidate
a broad work agenda that benefits both peoples in the economic and commercial spheres
.
Caracas and Bogotá are promoting a new era of relations
with the signing of agreements in core areas such as trade, migration and border
security, the fight against drug trafficking, defense and air transport,
betting on cooperation and integration to consolidate
significant advances, with a close relationship of brotherhood between presidents
Nicolás Maduro and Gustavo Petro, according to a press release from the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry.
