Foreign Ministry inaugurates photographic exhibition “Fidel Castro, guerrilla of the time”

With regard to the commemoration of the 98th anniversary of the birth of the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, the Minister of Popular Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, together with the Embassy of Cuba and the Center for Historical Studies of Fidel Castro Ruz, inaugurated the photographic exhibition at the headquarters of the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry in homage to this important figure in the history of Free Peoples.

During the inauguration of the exhibition “Fidel Castro, guerrilla fighter of the time”, the foreign minister said that “today, 98 years later, we come to vindicate his thoughts, we cannot stop thinking about Commander Fidel, to evoke his revolutionary thinking”, while highlighting his historical vision in the social, economic, scientific, political and environmental spheres in the face of any challenge.

The ambassador of the Republic of Cuba accredited to Venezuela, Dagoberto Rodríguez Barrera, assured that on August 13, one of the most faithful disciples of Martian thought was born, “who fulfilled the maxim for a homeland for all and the good of all.”

The activity included the participation of the singer-songwriter, Yoel Falco González, who performed the musical theme Valientes, as well as the presence of the executive secretary of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America — Peoples' Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP), Jorge Arreaza; the vice-ministers for Latin America, Rander Peña; Africa, Yuri Pimentel; North America, Carlos Ron; Asia, the Middle East and Oceania, Tatiana Pugh; Europe, Coromoto Godoy; Comprehensive Care for Migration , Pedro Sassone, and Multilateral Issues, Rubén Darío Molina.
