Forest firefighters control vegetation fire in the Caricuao Zoological Recreational Park

Officials from the General National Fire Directorate (DGNB), and the Forest Fire Department of the National Park Institute (INPARQUES), carried out control tasks to prevent the spread of the vegetation fire registered in the Caricuao Zoological Recreational Park, specifically in the La Paz Universal Park sector.

The extinguishing teams were immediately present at the site of the fire, to carry out containment tasks and then to put out the flames, as reported by the Ministry of People's Power for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace (MPPRIJP), on its account on the social network Instagram.

The National Risk Management System called on the population to report any movement, suspicious action or presence of fire in natural areas to the toll-free telephone line 0800-Ambient (0800-262.43.68), where the authorities will make appropriate calls to deal with the contingency.

They also called for collective awareness to prevent forest fires during the dry season.
